Polly and Andy is a heartfelt Irish brand born in Waterford, where Polly lives with her son Andy and their dog Tom. From the moment Andy arrived, his comfort and happiness became Polly’s world.

Andy has always loved soft snuggles and cozy textures—just like his mam. But there was a time when he couldn’t fully express what felt right or wrong. With love, patience, and the support of incredible teachers, Andy found his voice.

One day, while getting dressed, Andy pulled on his trousers and joyfully exclaimed:

“These ones don’t hurt.”

That simple sentence stopped Polly in her tracks. Her heart ached for the times Andy couldn’t explain his discomfort. She immediately thought of other children who might not yet have the words to say what they need. Polly knew she had to find a solution.

After extensive research and trial and error, she discovered the magic of bamboo fibre—soft, breathable, and gentle on sensitive skin.

In summer 2019, Polly and Andy’s bamboo socks were born.

The Vision

Polly’s hope is simple: that everyone—child or adult—can feel wrapped in a layer of love and comfort from the toes up. Because everyone deserves to feel good in their own skin.
